Your First Visit
Consultation and Patient Intake
When you arrive at one of our Chiropractic Clinics in Maineville or Hamilton, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire.
This questionnaire helps our doctors assess your current health condition and gives us more information about your lifestyle and other factors that may affect your treatment.
During this time you should also communicate anything of importance regarding your pain, medical history, and health goals.
Physical Exam
After your consultation is complete we will perform a physical examination.
We will test your reflexes, muscle strength, range of motion, pulse, and blood pressure.
These tests are tailored to your primary complaint or cause of injury. After these specialized tests, we will focus on the spine and X-ray testing may be ordered at this time.
X-rays are a vital part of the examination process because they reveal the extent of issues involving your spine.
Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan at Elite Chiropractic is unique and completely tailored to your needs. This is why we require a consultation and physical exam before prescribing treatment.
Our chiropractors will use the information they’ve gathered to build the very best care plan for you.
Since each patient is different, it’s impossible to say how many visits you will need. Some people may recover much quicker than others. That’s why we monitor your progress and make adjustments to your treatment along the way. This way we can ensure you’re getting the very best treatment at all times.
First Chiropractic Adjustment
Most patients are encouraged to receive their first chiropractic adjustment on the first visit.
Your adjustment will take place in a private room on a comfortable padded table designed specifically for chiropractic care. You may be asked to lay face down, on your back, or on your side depending on your condition, injury, and pain.
Your doctor will discuss all of this with you before your adjustment to make sure you are 100% at ease during the adjustment process.
After your first adjustment, make sure you express any questions or concerns to your doctor so he can address them.
Follow-Up Treatment
Our number one goal is to alleviate your pain without the need for surgery or pain medications. We strive to restore your body to its normal function so you can return to a pain-free healthy life.
Part of this process requires you to receive consistent follow-up treatment. Your doctor will describe the details of your follow up a treatment plan and explain the importance it plays in your recovery.
It’s important that you don’t miss sessions. Skipping appointments and not following the plan made for your recovery will stunt your progress and extend the time frame of your recovery.
